OUR WHY

Why We’re Building
SAWL Society

Original SAWL mandala with a heart at its center

SAWL is the podcast. That’s where this started for us.

We’re Amy and Srinu. After decades of marriage and family life across cultures, we know how much can sit behind the beautiful moments people share. Relationships, family expectations, traditions, and belonging can bring questions that don’t fit neatly into a public post.

We feel that people navigating these challenges deserve a safe place. That’s what we hope SAWL Society can become: a community where Indian-American and intercultural couples and families can find meaningful connection and share lived experiences.

Our hope is a place for respectful questions, different perspectives, and the feeling that you don’t have to navigate it all alone. Both sides of your story belong. We want to carry our cultures forward while making room for the lives we’re building together.

The podcast began the conversation. The Society is the community we’re building around it, guided by belonging, marriage, culture, legacy, and living well.

The community is still being developed. Joining the email interest list is a way to hear what comes next; it does not enroll you in a launched membership.

BUILDING TOWARD LAUNCH

The launch goal is 5,000 email sign-ups. This is a goal, not a reported current subscriber count.
